KUALA KANGSAR: Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah today presented academic and sporting excellence awards to students of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK).
Sultan Nazrin was accompanied by state Education Committee chairman Datuk Muhammad Amin Zakaria and MCKK principal Anand Baharuddin.
In his speech, Anand said MCKK had always aimed for excellence in all fields, including leadership.
The sultan and guests, including the students’ parents, were treated to a performance by the school’s choir and orchestra.
Sultan Nazrin later joined the parents and students for a special luncheon at the school.
MCKK Headboy, Wan Muhammad Farhan Mohd Fadzli said the leadership award he received would encourage other students to excel in academic and sports.
“Do not be afraid; give your best in all fields that you venture in.
“We should make our school and parents proud of our success,” said Farhan, who is also a rugby player.
