A big congratulations to Dato’ Dr Ahmad Suhaili Idrus (C’71, Sulaiman) on his appointment as the Chairman of the Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC).
MPRC is an industry development agency under the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department.
Suhaili Idrus’ appointment is part of the agency’s strategic effort to provide additional leadership experience to support its growth aspiration.
Dato’ Dr Ahmad Suhaili Idrus has spent nearly three decades in the downstream, and midstream oil and gas industry, mainly with Shell.
He has also served in various senior leadership roles at Iskandar Regional Development Authority, PEMANDU, AECOM Malaysia and the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).
He read mechanical engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology and obtained his MBA from University of Malaya.
He also holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Asia e University
He is also a Fellow of Chartered Management Institute (UK), Fellow of Institution of Mechanical Engineering (UK) and Member Institute of Engineers Malaysia.
